Aikido VS MMA: MMA Coach’s Thoughts
Recently a video was released on youtube featuring a friendly sparring session between an Aikido black belt named Rokas Leonavičius and an MMA fighter. There were a lot of comments both from the Aikido community and the MMA community, and I also wanted to give my opinion on the sparring as well as Aikido in general.
I will be referencing two of Rokas’ videos in my own: the original “Aikido VS MMA – Real Sparring” and “Aikido VS MMA – Aftermath” videos.
